I Farhana Khan AM a Speech-language Therapist and Audiologist (SLTA), WITH OVER 30 years of clinical experience. I am deeply committed to helping the patients who come to me. I have worked in hospitals, taught and trained audiologists at university level, held leadership positions in international clinics and I also worked in the high-tech environment of hearing aid manufacturing, training audiologists how to use the latest technology. In a sentence, I have been coaching people professionally and clinically to understand hearing, the hearing world, hearing loss, coming back into the world of hearing and hearing technology. I am registered with the HPCSA to practice as an audiologist and a speech language therapist with post graduate qualifications and I offer you a full, 360-degree professional service.

I currently have my own Audiology and Speech-Language Therapy practice at St Anne’s Medical Centre, in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. I have been in private practice since 2012. I run a full diagnostic audiology and speech therapy practice. My specific clinical interests in Audiology, include CAPD, and Hearing Aid evaluations and fittings. I specialised in the area of Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD) and was a member of a national task force appointed by the SLTA board of the HPCSA commissioned to develop a test battery for CAPD for the South African context. I have also published internationally and locally in accredited journals such as the American Speech & Hearing Associations Leader and the South African Journal of Communication Disorders.
